One beat up pickerel and 5/2

Got this big guy up at North Lake (Which i will request to be added soon).  Thought he was a big bass until we got him landed.  Caught him on a nightcrawler on a jig.  You can't really see it, but he was absolutely demolished.  He had a messed up tail and healed cuts on his back.  I don't know weather a carp got a hold oh him (which ther are tons of carp in the lake), or he got into with it with a northern, or something else....We also caught tons of little perch and 'gills and a little largemouth.

I would say that pikeral probably got tangled up with a bigger pikeral.
I don't think there are northerns in that lake, that I know of, I fish this lake too, and never heard of a northern being landed there, and I doubt there's any carp out there that are that aggressive to tangle with a toothy pikeral. There are many carp in there though, you are so right about that.

it looks like it is malnourished a little bit.   it might be sick or weak from something.  if it was sick other fish would pick on it usually untill death. 

It also could be the carp.  they are spawning soon i think and when the spawn is on they are very agressive towards other fish. 

carp are a blast to catch......
