Went to Maxinkuckee today

Fished the marina had good luck today caught 17 gills from 9 to 12 inch  missed allot of hits. Would of did better if I had redworms. Went there setup for crappie fishing didn't catch any didn't anyone catch any either but allot of big gills being pulled out of the water. I used beemouths and minnows fishing a foot and 1/2deep. Hit reel soft kinda like a crappie take it down reel slow. But like I said redworms did the best. Be Back on my next day off.

Heard they were getting crappie about 3 feet deep as well.

Thats what I heard to but didn't see anyone catching them but they could be on the open water seen alot of boats drift fishing

Went back to the marina and kept 11 nice gills A few older guys were fishing for crappies but were not really killing them.

cool...them gills got a purple color to em? seems like when im ice fishin ova there i always get them big ole purple gills
