I fished Treman lake alot growing up...great place for kids, lots of stunted largemouth, but that's what I was targeting...a few big ones kicking around but mostly on the small side...  The city reservoirs are posted, but you probably know that, lots of largies in them too, some hogs if put the time in , spent alot of time swimming at 2 nd  and 3rd dam as well as fishing as a kid .....  good memories..never heard of anyone ice fishin these spots, so be careful...good luck.

I though about giving the reservoirs a shot through the ice last year but never made it. Fishing in both these places have dropped off considerabely over the last few years.  People really overharvested the reservoirs and I'm not sure about tremain but I think it has something to do with silt. there are better places to ice within driving distance of Ithaca. When I was a kid the bass fishing in the res was outstanding!! not so much anymore

Isn't Ithaca reservoir the one that all the carefree hippies go to for some nude sunbathing?       When I lived up off King Rd. we used to fish the reservoir up from there and do pretty well on stream browns and the propert around the reservoir used to be great grouse hunting  long before all the development and posted signs...we used to take my girlfriends horses down to the res. swimming...Man that seems like 100 years ago...

Thanks for the trip down memory lane...
