Reel Character

It goes with out saying that fishermen are a cut above or (below?) the rest, especially Fish Finder/Shanty members. I don't want to embarrass anyone but want to call everyones attention to a member with some Reel character. I have known Jigwiggler since this last spring. We got out and fished a few times and are fishin friends.  The Jigster's house was under water this last weekend due to Ivan's impact on the Susquehanna River. Does he complain does he blame George Bush does he break down and cry? Noooo!! He finds time, while cleaning up his home, to remind us that there are fish stranded in pools of water along the riverbank and to return them to their home should we happen across them. Jiggy if their was a member of the year you are it! This Buds for you!!

WOW!  I was scrolling through some unread posts since I haven't been able to get on line much lately and came across this thread.  Needless to say I was quite surprised upon reading it.  Thank you Dave and others for your kind remarks, your post was not embarrassing at all.  You are so right in saying that this site's(and the shanty) members and fishermen in general are a cut above the rest and true sportsmen.  I'm sure you guys and most others would have reacted in the same manner.  Thank you all.

Yeah I would be returning those trophy fish back to the river. I wish we had a river here like the Susky, with trophy smallies, walleyes, musky, and catfish. But we would do without the floods.
When they drain the canals in the fall here, sometimes catfish get stranded in the pools. I return them to river. The gamefish go back, and I keep the suckers for cutbait.
