WE are looking for a 6th person to join us on a charter out of Pt. Pleasant on Monday, Memorial day. It's an 8 hr trip from noon-8pm. Please contact me if you are interested. The 1st confirmed person would be added.

We will provide the transportation from the Rockaway area as we are planning to car pool.

Cost is $133 plus tip (optional if you are inclined there is no mate on board the charter). Everything but food and drink & "items to bring" are provided by the charter. No black soled shoes on the boat.

What a great day on a great boat with some great friends and some great fish. I think all of us either had their personal best fish or Striper yesterday. We released my 2nd fish (about 30#) and COD's 38 lber (his pb Striper).
We kept 5.

Everyone got at least one while 2 of us landed 2. We had a quad hook up at one point between 4:30-4:45 pm. Nice quality sized fish. I'd be surprised if any were less than upper 20's.

SC is an outstanding choice for guide service in our area!

What a boat!

we were scheduled for a striper trip today. the above pictures were from the May trip. we canned it because of the rough conditions on the outside.
seems the bay was giving up shorts with a chance at some keepers, but we postponed till 12/1. with a bit of luck and some cool down and better conditions we
might get our shot at the bigs in 2 weeks.

Trip on the 17th of Nov.-cancelled due to marine conditions. Not many days since then have the conditions been well enough for many to venture out. On Friday the big pond was like glass, flat. Good day with winds forecast at 5-10 knots. Same forecast for Saturday 5-10 knots out of the SE. Barely 2-3'ers if that. So we thought it was game on for our rescheduled trip 12/01.

However, before we could get there we got a call. Bummer! Winds were NE @ 10-15 with gusts to 25. Waves were 6-7' and the buoy report said every 6 seconds. Not fun to be out so it got cancelled. Captains that went out were heading back in.

So one more try next weekend. I hope the weather is good enough and the fish are still around and active. On the positive side, it seems, they just showed up.

Yeah we got a call on the way and the trip was canceled, turned out to be a 208 mile ride to have breakfast. Thanks for the meal Bob, lets see what comes up in the next few weeks.
