Day 2 on the CHU
« on: Apr 13, 2014, 03:55 PM »
NOTHIN.
watched Frank and Jon put on a show as they both caught their 1st ever CHU Lakers. Frank ended the morning with 4 the biggest in the 4 or 5 lbs range we did not weigh it. Jon was still fishing hard when I left and at that point has landed 5 or 6. Most if not all of them on the Krocks. Don't know what his biggest was but Lavaman said he took one that looked to be over 6lbs. Kevin also had gotten his 1st of the young season. Nice job you guys. Was a great morning ??? ??? or at least that at least that was what it was supposed to be. Took the rain gear out of the basket last night :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: Weather men ::) ::). The rain came hard for awhile. No pics today as all were taken on an older cell phone and I have no idea how to get them off and onto photobucket. Will hit it hard after work a couple days this week.

jeff lowaccord was the hero that day. he caught and released 7 fish and schooled us all. I wish we would have weighed it but his biggest was as big or bigger than jeff's fish from opening day. my fish definitely was not that big but at least I didn't get the skunkaroo. I was jon's professional photographer and we experimented with some cool poses that I hope he shares on here. 4 missed runs again today. space ghost met up with us to shoot the bull and everyone seemed to enjoy the nice weather.

Hey, you better get that photo off of here, it could be incriminating. Just last weekend the warden saw my shoe was wet while he was checking my license.
He asked me if that was because I was standing in the water. I said of course not, I know the rules. It's wet because as I was peeing into the water, the last few drops hit my shoe.  ;D He did not find that as funny as I thought it was.

I thought the same thing when I saw that pic.  The first time I went to the Chu I did not realize you couldn't wade in the water.  It was a super windy day and I was wading out to cast and then walking back to shore.  The warden checked my license as well and courteously asked me to leave since my shorts were wet up to my mid-thigh.  I had no problem with it since I should have checked the Regs first and he was very polite about it.

I know they are very strict about it and typically not worth the risk. I think the fine is $100? I believe Jschu was fined for doing this once.

I have to laugh ;D... This morning's Worcester Telegram had a photo of a young girl (with her name and home town) wading and playing in the water at the Chu. Guess they'll have to drain it again...
