There just is not enough time to do it all!!!! Salt; Offshore, tuna, sharks, ground fish, I want to spend a night offshore fishing, the Cape with the "funny" fish showing up soon, I know Dad wants to do some more flounder fishing... Then there is the fresh water with Quabbin trips both night and day, The Conn. River with a night time float trip I want to put together, NH waters that I told myself I would fish more, The Deerfield and Westfield rivers with the trout calling, a trip to see my son (and do a little fishing) in CO, I want to put together a trip to the great lakes this fall.. And more! Just not enough time (or money) to do all the fishing I want... And my wife says "You're going fishing again?" I need to start playing the lottery so I can win some millions... Then maybe I can get a little more fishing in!

I hear yah. I think i have come to the conclusion that I will fish the salt as much as I can as long as I can. Ill do the quick Quabbin night trips and ice fishing for my freshwater fix. Trout are quickly losing their spot as there is just no time to do all 3. Unless I target them thru the ice.

If you plan on hitting the Westfield I would hit it relatively soon.  The recent rain storms have cooled the river down and made the flows much better.  Once August hits the flows in the main branch get too low and the water gets too warm so you need to get up into the Chesterfiled Gorge area where the water tends to stay cooler.  If you do head up to that area just an FYI it is catch n release only and artificials only which I'm sure you already know.
