None that are biting     ...   I can't imagine they are all gone yet though.

Down there Thursday.... never saw that much bait at the dam.  Water is also super clear for the Hudson. Solid schools of herring for hours.

That much herring is perfectly normal and it is like that every year up there.

I can usually jig one for bait in seconds

Buddy of mine was hooking up nearby yesterday.

Tons of fish still in the river, and they will be for a while yet.   Finding the biting ones is the hard part now.   We put exactly 50 stripers total in the boat during the 6 trips we fished it this year.  24 was our best day.
