Good weekend so far..

And there is still one more day to go! Hit Revere beach in search of bluefishes. Ended up leaving about a half hour later. Three miles of beach and a big family rolls up right next to me, five kids about seven years old start swimming next to my line, in the dark, and not even one of the adults even watching them. Mind you, there is about a 50 yard patch of mung along the whole shoreline. Had enough of that, so I bailed out and headed to Marblehead. My son wanted blues, so I was throwing halfa macks on steel leaders, we ended up with this guy, 45", 28.91 lbs. Pulled the spike over and the rod was headed for the drink. The fish wore my son out, and he handed the rod to me, a drag peeler. I wish everyone I fished said "It's too big, you take it"!

Early Saturday morning adventure. White spinnerbait with big Colorado blades, water was like Pea soup. 5.12

Bonus crappie on the spinnerbait. He looks silver. Most of the fish here have that silver look because of the off colored water.

Wife got her first fish on a spinnerbait. She was excited about that. If she could set the hook better, it would of been a real good day for her. She was throwing white with Indiana blades, that seem to be the better lure.

Looking good Chris!  I used to do some great missions off of marblehead neck.  Revere beach is good but that happens there unless it's wicked late.

Im taking the girls out after breakfast.  Been pullig Leadcore for pike all weekend and missed a monster saturday.

Thanks guys. Weather was nice and family is happy. Never got out today, caught up on some sleep. Jr. wants to catch some hornpout, that's next weekends project.That should be an interesting trip for sure.

Hit the salt instead if hornpout. Third time out this year, keeper every trip. Sort of feel a little lucky. He went back swimming though. Got him on a chunk mack, using sqid too, but no strikes on them. Baitshop guy claiming squid still in the North Shore waters.
