Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's

I just saw on CNN that Bass Pro Shops is planning to buy Cabela's for $5.5 billion. I really don't think things are going to change much - maybe a few closures?

i think they have been negotiating this sale for about 2 years now.  i thought they had already made that purchase last year lol.  ya kinda hard o believe but if i remember right bass pro was well over double the size of cabelas.

I dont care for the buyout, i have always liked cabelas better due to the fact that all cabelas brand gear was much better quality than bps. Ive always thought of bps as the walmart of fishing hunting stores. Just gonna have to live with it i guess. Hopefully they keep the brands apart from each other.

Yes, you are correct. I couldn't believe it either. Too bad, I know that Cabela's gets way too much of my wife's money. Haha.
