A local bait shop is blowing out their stock at 50% off. I took a look thru their last few spinnerbaits and almost everyone left had 3 or 4 blades on them.  The majority of my spinnerbaits are double bladed or even single blade, how many do you really need for a good presentation?

I think those quad spinnerbaits are a little overkill most of the time, but could have uses in certain applications. I personally have no experience with them. I used dual bladed spinners most of the time, and the combinations of shapes, sizes, and colors will keep you busy all day long. I usually use single blade Colorado blades for helicoptering, they work best for that.

I haven't used that many blades on a spinnerbait.  As long as they all spin in the water I see no reason that they won't catch fish.  Here is a great thread on spinnerbaits:

Lot's of good advice.

Hmm- Maybe there's a reason for that.  8)

Experiment until you find what they want.
I don't own any spinnerbaits with four blades...
That's unnecessary. JMO

i've never used one with 4 blades but one willow leaf and one colorado blade seem to work the best for me.  I've bought the top of the name brand spinnerbaits and not had much luck and $1 walmart bulk spinnerbaits will tear 'em up. You should buy the four blade and try it you never know! ;D

the spinner baits with 3-4 blades are really good when the bass are schooled up and chassing bait fish. They are also great in stained water due to the extra vibration and flash.

They are designed for a supper fast retrieve, such as really shallow water, or blasting through weeds. they push through the water to alleivate weed pick up. Just because you retrieve them fast doesn't mean they move fast. They blow obstructions out of the in their path.

I'll tell ya what, nobody use those 3 blade spinnerbaits, and leave them for me.  Those boo-yah 3 blade mini-shad spinnerbaits are KILLER when the fish are keying in on small minnows.

I have never used any spinner baits with more than 2 blades, but I think that they might work well. Like others have said they should do well in weed and actually keep the hooks weed free. All that vibration should really attract a fish's attention, they may perceive the spinner as a school of bait fish and really smash it, if they are reasonably priced I would give one a shot and experiment, lol, just remember to let us know how it works for you. ;D

I have those, never really had too much success with them, but that's probably just me.
