Well I just got a pack of red worm hooks at Walmart this weekend, have to give them a try and see what all the rumpus is about.

I use the red gamagatsu octopus hook with nightcrawlers for walleye. I don't know if the fish like it any better, but it sure makes it easier to find the hooks when I drop 'em.

I have tried them. Haven't noticed a difference, and don't feel as though they will help most of the time.I still buy them every now and then, but that is because they don't cost more and don't seem to hurt my catch.

Well, I think the hype drew me in, but I think they're like everything else as far as color goes. I believe in certain situations all it takes is a subtle change in presentation to trigger strikes. So, I use red hooks, bronze hooks, black hooks..whatever works basically...sometimes all it takes is to change things up a bit and red hooks do this..just my opinion. Tight lines all!
