Nungesser part 2
« on: May 28, 2007, 02:18 PM »
this report is a mess and a little bit all over the place but thats the way i am too.   8)

more walleye.

and so on and so forth.   more rain coming our way

Dad with a nice pike

This monster walleye took a 11 inch dead sucker that i had put out for a pike and fought like a sherman tank.   as did all the walleye in this lake, they fight like smallmouths here.   27 incher  about 7 pounds and change.  picture does not do this fish justice, let her go after the pic, as no doubt she is a good breeder

a couple a minutes later I caught this 40 incher.  a nice fish and a great fight.

I lost the biggest pike I have ever fought, by mistake i had my drag tightened all the way on the baitcaster and he took about 60 feet of it anyway on the 50 pound braided line before the hook tore right thru his mouth.  he was probably very high 40's getting close to 50 inches, but i'll never know.  I am still having nightmares.  the guy in the boat beside us netted a 47 incher it was massive

and what NW Ontario trip would be complete without Pike attacking walleyes on there way to the boat

Here comes the Snow

Doesnt stop the old man

his 40 incher

pike fishing in the snow gotta love it

not much off the dock that night

heading for home down river

as you can see the weather is alot better now that we are leaving

Red Lake Ontario

my favorite part of the drive is definitely Lake Superior Provincial Park

saw moose and bears and eagles but they were too quick for me and my limited camera skills.

Cheers everyone

Nice job Grim. Sweet shots.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.
