Well, this is my first post this year, It's good to see some hold overs from the iceshanty site. I was able to get out on a small pond down the cape yesterday. I went trolling with my cousin from 6:30 am until about 4:00 pm. Between the two of us we caught 40 trout! What a way to start the season! Action was steady all day, we started out with the fly rods using bead head black wooly buggers and took in 15 until about noon, when we switched to spinning rods and challenger lures (looks like a rapala) and they hit the pink and purple lure all afternoon. All were nice rainbows in the 12-14inch range, except for two decent browns! Great day overall! Tight lines to all!
