Just remember acording to the 2004 fishing regulations: YOU CAN NOT HAVE A WEIGHT RIGIDLY ATTACHED TO A MULTI-POINTED HOOK;OR SUSPENDED FROM A MULTI-POINT HOOK; OR SUSPENDED BELOW ANY HOOK UNLESS THE HOOK IS ON A DROPPER LINE (a leader ) THAT IS AT LEAST 3" LONG.
This is on page 5,toward the bottom of the page. I asked the local DNR officer if you cold use two ice jigs one on the bottom and one about a foot up tied directly to your line , because everbody does it this way, and he said if he caught anyone doing this he would give them a ticket. This was on Higgins lake!
