  aphalt_kid   i was writen to py a member of indiana fishing who told me you could give me some info on summit lake if u would please write [[email protected] ) i would like to go there in the nexttwo weeks . to check it out . then return when the perch are biteing. I have be going to leack lake in min. for years fishing for perch i would love to find perch local and not travel so far   perch killer

Well the action on the perch over there is hit and miss. Somedays you can get into the them and somedays total blankout on keeper perch.

Open water perchin at Summit I dont do because of limited time and not having my bassboat anymore. so really I cnat give you any helpful Info on the subject anyway.
I avoid the lake in the summertime because of the amount of traffic the lake recieves, and if I do fish it, Usually on rain days or real crappy days.
Sorry I cannot truely help you on your quest, for any info I did give you would not be current or even relative to open water perch fishin.
I target them thru the ice and only when I am sick of people following me around and want to hide from the crowds.

if you like perch...you need to hook up with me in mid april-may....fishing lake michigan out of portage...only problem is 15 limits....but they are really big perch...steve heckler...just get me at this site if you want updates..i fish every wed almost.....   [email protected]

o ok i see the christan fish sign no dout.  i was just woundering. so u like to fish for bass, im more a crappie walleye man my self and can resest a good perch bite. i have gonr to min. for many years , leach lake aera in serch of big perch. wount make it this year , my daughter starts school , and i will be spending my extra money trying to help her get a better education. thats ok thought i will just spend more time descovering  indiana fishing spots.

i'm a veterinarian...first boat was called "vetspet"....i am also a christian...so my lake michigan boat is called "fishers of men"....steve heckler
