Senko's?
« on: Mar 30, 2004, 01:39 PM »
I've herd a lot about these since I moved to Ontario.  I've never used them before and I understand they are killer on bass.  Does anyone use them on any other species with any luck or are they mainly good for bass.  What's your fav. rig; texposed, wacky, senko jig, etc...?
What's fav colour.

Just thought I'd through it out there ;D ;D!

Cheers!!!!

Well i use a senko knock off..Works the same...As less in price....I just find the senko's are a lil on the steep side as far as price goes. The yanks really Like em though....Pumkinseed colors or rootbeer and pumpkinseed. Anyhow i just rig em weedless and plop it out there let it do its trick. On the fall i wait then Depending what im using it on Depends on my action on it.. I'll use a plog twitch near the Top for LG Mouth with a 2-3 park jig if no hits...For Smallies ill Texas rig it and lake bottom will depic my retrieve..but if ya feel something Set quick.. Phenix MAkes a Nice Senko knock off Salted and I find that IT actually has a bette rdurability then Yamaoto's Secrect Senko.
Then again i ALso like the Fall weight Ratio of Yamayoto's Twintail Hula Grubs compared to others...As far as using them for other Fish...Iv'e caught other then Bass on them but Wasn't targeting them PEr say....Anyhow Good luck....And what colors u use for senko's?
Please Don't be offended by Germ and his Replys ..If any comments bother you please feel free to Send me a message Thru private mail and Ill   modify anything that Seems to upset ya. Tight Lines all!

I started using them at the beginning of last season.  The are definatly a great bass lure but as far as I am concerned they are in no way the be all, end all of bass fishing.  My favorite colour is probably black with blue flake.  I usually rig weedless but will sometimes throw wacky.
GET IT ON!
