Lure Choice for bass

How big of baits will i need after a rainstorm, then it immediately got sunny, humid and hot? The water temps are in high 60's. Are they hitting cranks, or plastics?  ??? ??? ???

Should be post spawn right now so they will be hard to catch. I would work a topwater frog in the shallows and up under trees and docks. If they didnt hit that I would switch to a jig and hit the shallow structure, and if I had no hits there I would move to the summer patterns- deep diving cranks on secondary points.

I toss the rooster tail on the river today after some rain and the sun came out.  At first I was hoping the sun wouldn't come out but it did anyway.  Well the rooster tail did it's usual magic and I caught several smallmouths.  I also tried the 4" Tru-Tungsten swimbait and I got one smallmouth on that.  Nothing on a popper today.  Some of the smallmouths regurgitated 3-4" minnows.   So that's what they've been feeding on.
Slip bobber fishing and ice lounger.

for about 4 weekends all ive used is a white rubber shad. zoom makes them. there 6inch i think. ive probly caught 20-40 largemouths per trip with 2 ppl in the boat. havent had a day less then 20.
id rather catch nothing by myself than alot in a crowd.
