Ha ha......funny to see these photos resurface from last year.

Thanks for the compliments guys.  It was an great trip wanted to share what some other parts of the country hold...

Wow very nice! What type of camera were you using?

I was using a Canon PowerShot Sx20 IS.  Not professional grade by any means but a real nice middle of the road camera.  Many other cameras out there are fully capable of taking comparable photos, it is just taking the time to learn the cameras functions such as using the 'Macro' setting for close ups,  using slower shutter settings for dramatic water effects, a mono pod or tri-pod for slower speed shots and Macro settings, etc.  I am still learning many of the cameras capabilites....

On another note....Unbeknownst to me, my wife entered the butterfly photo into a photo contest for Wyndam Resorts and won first prize.   On top of having that photo on the cover of one of the issues of their 'People and Places' magazine she also received a new Sony SRL camera !  Was a nice surprise !

"Why do you go on these trips with me , Ed?"

I just got back from the Smoke Mountain NP with my wife!  Just an amazing place...we were visiting family further away, so we only spent 1 1/2 days in the park, which unfortunately meant no fishing, but it was awesome nonetheless.  Looks like you got to see some cool wildlife...our short hikes and drives only yielded a few turkey sightings...Next time we'll do it right!
