Crappy Crappie Day
« on: Aug 28, 2004, 08:32 PM »
  • went to favourite crappie lake, found we had no boat keys
  • started to pack up, then wife thought of using just the little transom mount electric
  • back boat into water to find plug had been removed (see point above about packing it in)
  • fairly windy, couldn't follow game plan, anchored...lots of fish on the finder, only one or two nibbles
  • decide it is time to go home, so go across small lake to drift back to launch
  • about 2/3 across, wife states that 8 year old daughter has fish on
  • reel in to help her out, begin panicking when I see good sized crappie...need to make sure we land it for her
  • 33 cm, first crappie for her and an MA
  • load up, come home, fill out MA form
  • attempt to upload picture, but having trouble with FTPing to MTS account...sigh

So, the day ended on a positive note, but we got away late and didn't really get the fishing in that I would have liked.  However, it is always good to get the kids a fish, even if it is only one for the day.

When I am able to get a picture up, I'll post it in the pictures section.

Scuba - thanks squared.  I still seem to be having grief...I guess I'll need to remember to call MTS soon.
