I have navigated around the NH Fish and Game site and I haven't found a page listing waters that have been stocked in 2012.  The mass f&g list waters stocked the previous week.  Does NH not list this info? or is there a person I can contact to find out?  when does lake region rivers/steams generally get stocked? I'm guessing mid April

they usually will start with their stocking reporets about the 1st week in april, trucks may be out and rolling, but they dont put the reports out until then.

NH does post the stocking but it is an after the fact situation. I am pretty sure you will see the locations for the previous week or month.

I don't want to sound like a better fisherman than the rest of you because certainly I am no where in you fella class, in fact you are much better at this game than I. I just want to say that to me IMHO that you guys sound like a bunch of little kids wanting to know where and when the Stocks trucks are going. that is something we did when we were kids. it is almost like catching them in a barrel. I have seen you guys with tons of fish that I can only dream about catching and this is just through the ice.  why do you guys want to chase the stock trucks around when you guys are a much better bunch of fishermen/fisherladies than this? I would think that you would want to at least give them a fighting chance, to let them grow and at least have a chance to be hold overs ?

The N.H. Fish Stocking Report web page is possible because of a 2004 NH state law which allows the Executive Director of N.H. Fish and Game to provide past stocking information on a weekly basis. Look for an update every Thursday between April and July. If you want to be reminded to visit this stocking page, find us on Facebook! Click here for links to current and past fishing reports.

This report is usually posted on Thursdays (during stocking season) and includes stocking locations from the previous week.

"Fish stocking occurs primarily from mid-March to early July. There are several reasons for this, the foremost is related to water temperatures. Since trout cannot tolerate water temperatures when they warm to the mid-70s, they need to be stocked prior to the onset of this occurrence. Secondly is the need for grow-out space for the next year's production of trout. As the young trout start to increase substantially in weight during the spring and summer months, their densities need to be spread out among the available rearing containers in order to minimize problems that can arise from over-crowding conditions.

"What is occurring at the present time (late July) with respect to stocking is essentially the release of surplus fish into suitable waters. This occurs because hatcheries typically rear approximately 10% more fish than what are needed to meet stocking targets as a safeguard to cover any potential unforeseen losses due to disease or other causes. This safety margin is adjusted periodically as inventory counts take place, such as occurs when fish densities are being thinned by moving the young fish to empty rearing containers. This ensures that the hatcheries are only carrying what they need to carry and provides occasional bonus stockings to select waters."

Really? thanks for sharing your opinion.  While I have no intentions of "chasing stock trucks"  I would however like to put a smile on my 3 yr olds face.  I'm fairly new to the lakes region and while out fishing today I went to a stretch of river that recieved some 2,000 EBTs last year and didnt get so much as a look.  I was just posing the question out of curiosity.  And god forbid someone catch a non native trout during the spring, isn't that the reason they are stocked anyway?

I did not mean to offend anyone and if you took it that way I apologize. if you are looking to put a smile on your little guys/girls face I just can't understand why you wouldn't just fish nearer home there are alot more places to catch more and bigger browns and bows right here in Mass( that is also ehere I live (born and grew up in NH but now live in MA. I can see ice fishing , salmon, and lake trout in NH but why Ma. for the rest? I am a dad of three so I know what it is like to see the smiles when they catch fish (priceless) so please understand I didn't mean to offend any of the little guys or Dads
