Just being honest
« on: Mar 18, 2013, 07:18 PM »
So I luv to fish, and I even sit out on the ice to do it...but every time I go, the kids get cold, my back goes stiff and starts to ache, and I leave wondering if I ever want to do that again.  Is it a good hobby when you ask whether you should sell your ice fishing stuff after every trip?  I live for the spring, summer, and fall.  Off the ice, my experiance is soooooo much different, as soon as I leave my fishing hole I can't wait for the next outing!   Off the ice it is always hard to say this is the last cast.  I am thrilled that the hard, white water is turning blue!!!! ;D

I;m not nearly to the extent you are as i love fishing no matter how i'm doing it but i do prefer open water. More active, warmer weather, more comfortable, and usually more fish!

I'm a wuss sometimes. That's why I bought a tent and heater. That way I still get to fish in my t-shirt lol.

KP:

I'll bet $50 that you haven't been using a Vexilar/Marcum/whatever to help you locate fish.  If you do own one and are using it to find schools of fish and still ask yourself whether you really enjoy what you're doing, then, by all means, sell the icefishing gear and move on.   ;)
