when i used to work in a fish market cutting fish id find those things in the mouths of snapper all the time sometimes multiple ones. I always used to joke around and call them brain bugs the wholesaler who sold us the fish told me they were just some kind of bug the fish eats and regergitated when theyre caught and put on ice. I never believed it as the bugs have like ten twelve hook like claws for legs and they used to be stuck really good in the fishes mouth even when they were dead, I even brought some to school to show my biology teacher and freak other people out, never did learn what they truly were till I read this.
