interested to hear what your best concerts have been?
my top 3 would be:

Down in a small club (Phil Anselmo from Pantera Pepper Keenan from COC)
Hank Williams Jr. w/ appearance by Kid Rock

Hey walleyechaser- Clutch is a good show live. I dont care for LB. Getting off topic though so my favorite concert would have to be Slayer/Pantera back in the day. Then maybe Snot a close second...

do you remember the Palladium in Roseville? Thats where I saw Clutch. Awesome show.
St. Andrews for Down. It was sweet we didn't even know who they were. They weren't very big at the time and we got free tix so we went. Out walks Phil from Pantera and Pepper from COC. It was a HUGE surprise.
I'm not huge into Limp Bizkit either. I went to see Clutch.
Went with the wife to see Bare Naked Ladies. Not big into them but they put on a great show. One of the best sounding concerts I've seen.

2005 - Allman Bros Band - no Dickey Betts, but they still rocked FACE. Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes were ON!
2000 - Chili Peppers & Foo Fighters - The foo fighters opened and WOW.
199~ - Ratdog - not sure of the year, but it was the first concert I ever attended, and still stays with me as one of my favorites.

I don't know which was the best I've been to. I've been to so many great shows in the last 40+ years.
some memorable ones (though I don't really remember everything)
Eagles, the show was opened by Jimmy Buffett. WOW
Stones (more than once)
Paul McCartney
Elvin Bishop (I was introduced by the band.....long story)
A 4 day concert in Sedalia MO, in the 70's: including but not limited to
Charlie Daniels
Marshall Tucker
Aerosmith
Eagles
Skynyrd
And of course, many, many Dead shows

Its hard to narrow it down to three , especially thru the haze of my memory ,but one week in particular comes to mind. Joe Cocker/ and Stevie ray Vaughn (the week before he passed ) in rochester ny ,drove all night to Foxborough mass Greateful Dead
Brent as keyboardist , drove all night to a neighbors stop over party in sterling,ny many local bands with Max Creek headlining.
Next day Greatful Dead and Crosby Stills and Nash in Buffalo ,drove all night to Indiana to see the Dead at Deer Creek for two shows. A day of rest ,drove all the way back to Mexico ny for work the next day! The Joe Cocker / Stevie Ray show was unbelievable the energy that Joe puts into his music ,and stevie was sober at that point in his career made for a great start to one the best summer tours I have attended.

HMMMM, Well
1. Summer Sanitarium - Linkin Park and Metallica put on the best sounding metal shows I have ever heard
2. I have seen rush 7 times, maybe the show at Alpine Valley followed by show at Met Center 2 days later
3. Van Halen at the Monsters of Rock, I was really down on the band for goin with Sammy, but what a show.

Queensryche/ (operation midchrime ) and Metallica (and justice?) was a good one in buffalo. Godsmack at the funhouse in a small bar setting was cool. Suicidal tendencies in buffalo (forgot who they opened for) but they were good. Korn in Rochester actually showed up Ozzy. Surprise show.......was kiss and skid row. Kiss bored me to tears as expected........but skid row, just sounded amazing. Crisp , Loud......and clean. Think my first concert was clarence clemmons (sax player for bruce springstein) I was quite the youngen and went along with my partying aunt and uncle in the very early 80's.
