DETROIT RIVER ON SATURDAY
« on: Apr 06, 2008, 11:45 AM »
Well guys is was very slow on the walleye bite Saturday. I was debating weather to go up river ( where I love the deep water and the no snags) or the crowded Trenton Channel. I did go up river, I had on decent fish on for about 5 seconds and it got off. A couple bumps between me and my buddy and that was it. saw lots of boats and zero fish in the wyandotte area. I left there and went to lake erie metro park in search of perch. I ended up getting into them at 130pm and left at 4pm. We got some dandys. brought home forty 9-13inchers. Boy where they fat and colorful. Back at the launch, spoke to a few Trenton Channel guys and heard nothing but bad reports. Hopefully next weekend we will have some good walleye action. It is calling for snow showers next weekend but it is Michigan so a 6 day forcast is subject to change
