Yeah...RF...I wasn't seein much color to the stockies...pretty much like you said...grey, black and some other muted inperceivable colors.  Pretty Generic ??? Pathetic :blink:

yea...thats what you get for the most part. when we get the bigger ones from harveys they are a nice silver color with spots (browns) lake run browns tend to be that color in spring and summer. they burn brownish when the spawn in fall.

Unfortunately, we don't have a lake like Harvey close by Pittsburgh.  It is 2 hours plus any direction to find something even close to comparable.  Erie is 2 and a half hrs.........The Yough is 2+, Deep creek is 3...  Raystown is 2 hr 45min... kinzua is 3 hrs....so..we usually fish the 3 rivers around da burgh........plus we just have a 16 deep v with a 15hp on it............
