My kids and I went there,  it was slow for us,   we fished 7 hours and no bites the first 4.   Then we got alot small bass, biggest was 12 inches, we did how ever get a 16 inch drum.  It is in the freezer at home to try out.  Now were at alcova camping.

I got a coworker who went there and he has caught perch and white crappie from grayrocks this year.

Sometimes knowing where they aren't is as useful as knowing where the fish are!
I was up there a little over a week ago and concentrated on the upper end where the river "used" to come in. I tried to fish trees, brush. submerged islands, and the old river channel with no luck. Not sure what I would catch there so I used a couple different wiggle tail jigs in green, white, etc. Swam them, dropped them, dragged them, only a couple hits. Also tossed out some catfish bait on a lindy rig with no success.
Water was 8-10 feet. Wish I'd a brought along some dynamite! (lol)

Bet you will like the taste of that drum.  Nothing wrong with them in my opinion...way better than any trout.

Jeez, how can you possibly make that statement?
Nothing personal, but drum taste like you know what-

we dragged nightcrawlers on harnesses all afternoon and got 2 drum and a perch.  No eyes.  We did get blown off the lake just before prime evening time though...
