Fished yesterday evening with snagger and hid buddy bob.  Headed out around 6:45 and fished til 9:30.  We ended up all limiting out on the waldos and threw back at least another 6 or 8 keepers. I also caught a monster sheepshead, my biggest to date in my 30 years of fishing oneida lake!  Got some great pics. Once i figure out the new card reader I bought today, I will post the pics.  :-\   I also ended up boating a nice cat.  Both the drum and cat were caught on jigs.  We also had some smallies, perch, and sunnys mixed in. Great mixed bag of fish!
Nice job findin em

Wow great fishing so far this year! Lots of walleye blood getting spilled though...... am wondering if we shouldn't be doing some Catch and Release. Seriously......

Really? Oneida Lake has pretty strict walleye regs.  Most of New York states walleye limit is a 5 fish limit where as Oneida Lake has a 3 fish limit of at least 15 inches. Used to be 18 inches until DEC figured out that most of the fish being kept were females of breeding age which hurt the population more than anything.  Seems that they have it figured out pretty good.  Not to mention that at least 500-1000 walleyes made it through winter this year with the bad ice conditions due to the mild winter we had.  I would say when you go out and catch 40-50 keeper eyes between a couple guys and you release all but six fish that is some serious catch and release and it also shows the walleye population can support the 3 fish limit.
Nice job findin em
