What a difference a year makes!  Last year was my first time fishing Oneida and maybe only caught 10 eyes the whole season.  Two days ago, my wife and I got 8 eyes (3 shorts), 2 perch, and 1 smallmouth all in over 30' fow.  A few weeks ago, it was 22' feet that seemed to work best for me.  Anyway, back on the lake tomorrow.  Maybe the lake will get difficult  again soon but for now, whoopee!!

Gentlemen....Please have pity on "the guy that can't catch walleyes."  That's right, its me.  I've only tried it once this year and obviously, from the previous statement, I had no luck.  I'm going to try again tomorrow on the east end.  Any recommendations for a good depth to start?  I usually do the spinner/worm thing but will try some jigging, too.  Thanks.

If you're heading out in a boat, and get out EARLY, start shallow around points, weeds lines, or rock piles with buck tails tipped with half a crawler.  If you don't get into any fish head for deeper water and jig the same bucktails or sonars.  Good luck!
