Yep, both pumpkinseeds. Prob male/female or they will vary in coloration just like other species...
Sightfishing for sunnys n gills is prob my favorite type of icefishing.

same breed snag. looks like male & female. that is the sweet meat of the lake !!   sully...

Monster sheep is right, WOW! :o Wad caught 3 of them in a row yesterday but not that big. We managed a limit on the eyes but the bite was slow at first. The wind picked up a gave us a good drift and the waldos cooperated. Gold Harness with a bouncer was the ticket and got one on a purple buck tail with a leech. Cheeks out!!! 8)

hmmmm... went out the last 2 mornings.. anyone getting anything over 17''??? my 6 keepers from the last 2 days have been all under 17'', i mean im not complaining i think the younger ones taste better

One that has me excited is the new Rapala X-Rap Countdown. The original x-rap is one of my favorite baits for casting for eyes. This bait will have a place for me when a little more depth is needed...
