fishing tomorrow during the day, would I be better off trolling or should I be drifting and throwing a jig or sonar for walleyes?

If you're going to be there for first light then I'd start shallow and work my way deep using jigs and sonars.  Hit structure (rock piles, sholes, points, weeds, etc...).

But then I'm not a troller. :-\

Good luck!

During the day I would troll deep. Then near dark try casting sticks in shallow.

Jigged the wall in sylvan this morning, nothing happening yet but a stiff east wind doesn't help.

Just went to Gander and bought my waders. Ended up getting Columbia Camo Neoprene Waders. They have 5mm of neoprene and 100 g thinsulate in the boots. Hopefully they work out well for me. Also bought myself a new cap light, and 7 new stick baits ;D That was a pricey trip...So now Im all set to go. I plan to go a lot this fall. Havent been out after them in the past 2 seasons. Ive never fished the north shore before in the fall, but I wanna this season. If any of you diehards wanna meet up lets gooo :flex: Id love to learn a thing or two from you guys
Opinions are like @ssholes. Everybody has one and they all stink.

Tried a couple spots for an hour last night.  Ended up going 2 for 2. One keeper and one short.  What was really cool was the amount of 3-6 inch walleyes I saw last night!  Must have saw 200 of them in the short time i was fishin.  Thats def a great sign  :thumbup_smilie:
Nice job findin em

Yeah it is really good stuff to see all those baby eyes with the spotlight, they are probably like 3-5 inch long now from the spring. We gotta try that other spot I mentioned Deadeyspic, you need a red carpet rolled out for you?

I finally made it out to chase some eyes tonight.

I tried a spot on the SE Shore for about 45 minutes with 0 hits. There was a nice light chop rolling in too.  :-\

The I moved to the north shore and went 3 for 6 in a little over an hour.  ;D

All hits came on a green/gold Jr. Thunderstick.
