I do the majority of my bass fishing in rivers for smallies, I would have to go with a simple white grub with the black head. Works well and very cheap.

i like to fish fast so a double willow stanley wedge spinnerbait 1/2 ounce and the x caliber lipless crankbait in gold and black.....if i slow down i like a texas rigged rage craw or brush hog.....
