Canadian Pike & Walleye eh!
« on: May 15, 2005, 05:10 PM »
Just a couple we caught over the weekend. I have more pics but thought I'd throw these up.

Me with an nice 25" Walleye:

Me with a  nice Pike:

And another Pike:

The big Walleye for the weekend: The bottom fish is the smelt I was using for bait.

My bud with a nice Pike:

and another:

A nother nice Walleye:

This lake is strictly catch and release on the Walleye. All Pike were put back as well.

Great Pics. The first walleye is a beauty, great colors.

Looks like you had some weather changes with the T-shirt & shorts and then the parka. That's spring.

nice fish :thumbup_smilie:-   looks like ya had a good day out on the water.
the fish must have been pretty hungry - in the first 2 pike pics the fish look to have identical markings-looks like  ya caught that same fish twice.
got to love those c&r lakes - good potential for growing trophy size fish and ya don't have to clean any fish when ya get home  ;)

supposedly that happens quite a bit with pike. I've done it with trout on the river before, especially browns because they are the more aggressive of the trout species. Nice fish VC, to me a 25" walleye is a trophy.

My biggest out of there is 28". Don't get me wrong, that 25 incher was a nice fish and ended up being the biggest for the weekend. I always enjoy catching these fish and there are lot's of these fish in there. I know there are bigger ones as well, this is why I always go back.

Here's a Pike I forgot to add: I think it was the biggest Pike on the weekend, but if you asked my buddy he's say he caught a bigger one. hmmmffff  :P
