Dragging a doe uphill with hunting partner when this brute came strolling by at about 100 yards. Pure luck! Yes I said my thank you prayer to Great Spirit. Full freezer.

Thats a shame on that buck reeleyz.  It happens.  Nice one CF.
Im still seeing a few fawns and thats it.  All the deer I saw during bow are dead or nocturnal.  Ill keep going though.

Wow, that was pure luck that he strolled by, but you did your part in getting him!  Congratulations!

I earlier posted that I read the DEC 10 yr plan and that I did not see anything dealing with crossbows.  I guess I just scanned it too fast because this is in the plan and I missed it. Looks like the DEC wants to take control of this issue and get it out of the hands of our legislators.

d**n Bruce. Feel for you brother. We have all been or will be there someday. Congrats on the doe! Iím still getting after it. Passed on a bunch of smaller bucks with the bow and almost killed a big one with the bow and had a good encounter with a decent northern zone buck with the muzzleloader but couldnít get a shot. Pulled an all day sit Wednesday in the south and didnít see one deer for 11 hours of hunting. I did get to hear and feel that sonic boom from that meteor though! I was hoping it would scare some deer my way lol.
Nice job findin em

Great buck catfisher.. :thumbup_smilie: :thumbup_smilie:

There have been quite a few monsters shot this season.  My buddies older daughter got this beast all by herself last week about 10 miles from me..
