Congrats on the kill reeleyz! Glad you beat the rain, that can make things a bit tougher.

A couple of my friends leave tomorrow for a Reservation out west, for a Buffalo hunt. Can't wait to sample some.  :P

Congrats on the doe reeleyz, you cant eat the horns. I was lucky enough to put a muzzy through my 1st letchworth St park buck today, the permit to hunt there with a bow or muzzleloader is self-issue online while regular season is still lottery, anyway i shot a 6 pt. Nothing fancy except i had to drag it a mile up a gulley to yhe road but was well worth it.
done dirt cheap!

I wish buffalo meat was more available, not talking ground, i mean real steak. When i was young my grandfather would go and stock his freezer from a buffalo meat farm in bloomfield ny, he'd spend $1400 and then sell steak on a stick at the native American festivals, i would eat whatever he couldnt catch me eating.m

Wow PP. 700 lbs. of meat that must have been a heck of an Elk and Muley!!!

I think your approach is a good one though. Stay out of the woods until it is time. Over the years I have found that less is more. Meaning I see more deer when I hunt less.

You bet Ken, I'll be out.  ;)   I'd like to get the hunting over with so I can take the boat out a few more times.   ;D  Then.....ice ice baby!
Also, I found a place online where you can buy an 1/8 of a bison for $490. Cheaper than taking 10 days off of work, traveling across the country and paying 5-6k to shoot one. Might just try it!   :P
