Dom, do you guys ferry in the massive wood pile or find dead wood, cut, and split it there?
If you are talking about the spring trip we cut it and split it there.. But when we are out and about and stumble across a pile someone else left we might bring it back to camp..

Yes, the spring trip.
That's a pretty substantial camp chore in itself, but I guess many hands make light work!

Nope not hard at all.. Its just part of the trip.. After all these years we got a good "chore" rutine down as far as what has to be done to enjoy our selves.. And we like big fires at night....

Saturday 2/25/17 Worked in the yard in the morning in sweat shirts in 60* .... We drove through some good thunderstorms going to Inlets Fire and Lights festival.. Sat in the restaurant eating and having some beers and watched it turn to snow.. Got done eating and went out to the car and put our boots and gloves and went down to the lake and enjoyed a huge bonfire and some great fireworks in the snow storm...
And the Thunder Snow across the frozen lake and mountains was increadable...
I'm going to get stuff ready for filling hanging baskets for tomorrow morning...
Have a great day everyone...
My bride warming her buns last night before the fireworks... She was actually facing me but wanted the flash off..
Fireworks were awesome...

Well another spring trip in the books...... We fished ,ate, and drank like kings..... Weather was good, from highs in the 80's to lows of 34*....
The lean-tos were moved back 200+ feet from the water which was kind of depressing... One lean-to they rebuilt (ours) they were nice enough to leave a shrine nailed to the wall to us.....
Fishing was good, from lots of lakers, couple landlocks, a small brookie and lots of those stupid bass. Every time we pulled into a spot we usually catch brook trout we had to go look for a new spot because it was loaded with bass... Since theres no catch and realise season in that part of the state we didn't want to look like we were targeting them....
Here's a few pictures...
