squam lake ?

I will be in the area the 2nd week in may fishing squam lake my question is there any black crappies in
squam ? or any other lakes near by. thanks

There are Crappie in Wickwas, one exit south. Hermit Lake too. All I seem to be able to figure out on Squam is how to catch Smallmouth no matter what, how much or how deep I troll. I don't think there are crappie in Squam but I could be wrong.

...these things can not be said enough. Most of the lake seems designed to take your lower unit. What suprises me is we don't hear more about sunken boats and drownings due to this on that lake. Also very limited parking. Once full...there is NOWHERE else on the lake to launch and park. Good news is trollers seem to leave mid-morning and open spots for bass guys but don't count on it.
