A gentleman at my work asked me late Tuesday if I could get Wednesday off to hit quabbin for smallies. I think I had already sent the request for day off to my boss before he even finished his sentence.
We arrived at gate 43 around 630 to a brisk 50 degrees and a haze. The haze quickly burned off and we fished in a comfortable 70-75 degrees all day w the water temp ranging from about 58-63. We ended up landing 25 smallies, most in the 2lb range, with the largest approaching 4. We were off the water by 2 so my coworker could get to a bday dinner.
