Well yesterday was an interesting day to say the least. Rain and thunderstorms were predicted but with limited opportunities to get out, the old man and I decided to give it a go. I also had some Intel and the word was that there were no fluke around the area i planned to fish whatsoever. Long story short, no thunderstorms and just a drizzle for about an hour. I also tried 10 of my go to spots and to my surprise, we only landed 10 or so short fluke and it seemed like the only thing around were the sea robins. We had a fat ZERO on the board for keeper fluke from 5:30am until about 11:30. And then it happend. Spot # 11 was my "think outside of the box" location and 3 minutes into the drift, doormat #1. Two minutes later doormat #2. From about 12- 12:45 We landed 9 fat fluke and a handful of shorts. Our 5 big fluke went 25" 26" and 3 at Just under 27". The old man had a blast and to finish the day off like that always makes up for the time put in (and 20 gallons of fuel).

Cool .. . it's always neat to find a payoff by "thinking outside the box" when the "old standbys" are not producing.

Awesome work is an understatement. Finding a concentration of them outside of where the draggers go is quite the feat. (Sorry I couldnt make it)
