I need to get my carbs cleaned, get the mount for my panoptix and another ducer.  Looking to repower as well.  Been staring at a number of 115-150 four strokes.
4 strokes are over rated.. ;D..
If and that's a big if, my 2004
115 mercury 2 stroke ever dies, I'd replace it with an e tech...

If I knew how to work carbs Id be fine with my 1990 looper.  It was great as long as the carbs were clean even started well in temps below 25...

My buddy had a brand new 2017 e tec.  Thing flied for 2 weeks then sheared the flywheel bolts...that was sad.

those engines are among the best merc/mariner ever built, the ONLY problem with them were there were not enough people that understood how to set them up properly the first time..

I still have the engine block to that one I gave you the lower unit from, it had 125lbs compression in each hole, I just couldn't see scrapping it...I might have the entire ignition system, less stator and flywheel that got scrapped when the flywheel disintegrated, making me buy the newer motor..
