Dave from Sacandaga Lake Dave's charter called me the other morning. He has just landed a 20" brown trout while trolling for walleyes. He said the temperature was about 58* also....h2l

Time to hit the lake this week, water will be warming up fast with the temps they say we’re going to have this week. Don’t know what day yet but will let you know when we decide, H2l will you be going out soon. That’ a nice brown Dave caught.

Iceman, I will try to catch you at the launch, I haven't got the boat out yet.

BBB, those over 18" have been hard to come by the past couple of years.....h2l

H2l sorry we missed you we left around noon, the mayflies were swarming us on the lake and we got skunked. We were marking fish but they didn’t want to bite. It was the usual should have been here yesterday syndrome. Saw a guy at the launch with an ultralight pontoon airplane, saw him out on the lake also, never did see it in the air. Beer Belly you are right the smaller ones are best.

I stopped down there about 1. It can be tough when the Mayflies are hatching. I always went to small black marabou jigs. It is still pretty early for a good bite....h2l

Here’s a picture of the guy launching his ultra light pontoon, had a four cylinder rotax engine on it. Pretty neat ut never saw it in the air.
