Lil Sister Charter with my Daughter.
« on: Jul 06, 2020, 01:11 PM »
I've known Jason Colby for quite a while and decided it was time to bring my daughter and gf on their first saltwater fishing adventure.  To make a long story short, my daughter is a seabass/fluke killer and so is the gf.  We had a memorable trip and now a freezer full of sea bass.  As an added bonus I got the pleasure of driving his boat while he cut fish.

Glad you had a great day on the water.

Happy looking kid - - but, man, that's one ugly looking fish!

I hope it tastes better than it looks.

If that's the same Lil Sister charter that slays the Boston Harbor flounder in June, he really knows his stuff.  Puts a lot of fish in the boat for sure.

Same one.  Yes he does for sure.  Consistently.

Nice work Jon. I got to get out with JC again. His trips are always productive. Nice to have a freezer full of sea bass.

Great work Jon!  I bet it was easy for your daughter to pick it up after jigging ice fishing.  Bottom fishing in the salt and jigging ice fishing although vastly different are somewhat similar at the same time.

Jim, I'd tend to disagree.  I don't think the lighting was great in that pic.  Look up some pics of black seabass.  The different colors of blue that they display can be pretty gorgeous.

Jim this is the same fish. Pretty sure the colors change in the spring with the spawn but I’m sure others on here know better.

It is and he's one of the only guys I'd spend money to fish with.  Always a good time.  Perhaps we should get together for some blackfishing on his boat later this fall.

male seabass take on the blue hue and a hump on their head. seabass are hermaphrodites and are born females and switch to males later in life. some great eating white meat.

Weird how that works when you caught less fish than all, isn't it?
