Brown sludge

Does anybody know what this is is that the tomhannock reservoir pretty much Brown sludgy looking stuff going across the entire Lake plus there's a turnover of green stuff out there as well

Looks like Filamentous Algae  ?? Grows on the bottom, then releases into floating nasty mats. Tough to ID only with a pic sometimes. It goes through various stages as it grows.

i  told  you guys .....don't  fish in  sewer treatment  plants  geeeez  ....go  shower

Its actually drinking water for Troy ny and Rensselaer County area. I would never drink anything from the faucet

 I’ve worked on city water lines if you seen what they looked like inside you’d never want to drink any town or city water you would think twice
