indiana rivers and streams have a protected slot limit on bass. its a stream feeding a body of water.  i have been cleaning up on them lil critters since the change.  they make  great fish sandwiches.

hit a couple spots this morning before work.  they were very hungry after i found the school.  1/4 mile up stream in a bend hole.  caught maybe 30-40 kept just under a limit to share.  3 were over 14" today. one of those was a 14.5" stripe noser.  thats the biggest stripe nose i have ever caught i think. using jig and bobber still reeled in slow.

and the proof-->

the males are very dark!  get out there guys its on hard till spawn.  im betting the afternoons are even better.

Those are some pigs! I haven't noticed any changing colors where I have been but the eggs are getting bloody and loose. Heading out in a few to give it a go.

tried yesterday but they werent in there.  the current was slack even with the rain.  dont usually do very well when the creek isnt running.   would have needed a boat to search out in the bay.  didnt have time for all that.
