Trying for a little variety, I fished the South Hoosic in Adams yesterday and the North Hoosic in North Adams this afternoon.
(Alright, so sue me, I didn't squeeze in a round on the Main Branch of the Hoosic too. Nobody's perfect).
The weather was warm (88 degrees yesterday and 90 today) but not unbearable (relieved by some shade yesterday and a breeze today).
The fishing (all rainbows) was good both days - - albeit with the action dispersed along the entire mile long stretch of the South Branch yesterday but clustered along just a slightly longer than a football field section of the North Branch today.
Tonight, I grilled one of the rainbows that I caught (and the only one that I kept) yesterday, which I smothered in a sauce made with diced potatoes, saddle mushrooms (which, I must admit, were a little old/rubbery), olives, banana peppers, sofrito, recaito and dandelion wine and chased my meal down with a Smithwick's red ale.
