I have made the drive twice to Champlain and both times I was humiliated and chased away by mother nature. Looks like you had some success!

Sounds like me on the Great Lakes. For some reason every time I show up the wind decides to blow a gale. That sucks when you have to make a reservation a head of time not knowing the weather on that date.

It was glass the first day, then real bumpy the 2nd and 3rd day.  I would have jigged lakers for 4 days but it was too windy.

Weird thing, no pike.  None at all.  Also, I'm happy to report the lower unit didnt hit anything!
