That is straight wuss racin, ya ask me. Think Richard Petty ever raced that way?? ???

Mike

no but he never had this format, if your not in the top 10, you have no chance
before you went balls to the wall until the end, now you have to big picture race, instead of just the leader, there are 11 guys that have to big picture race while the rest fight for the win, then once in the last 10 races you go back to racing

Arch,
Harvick thanks Richard, Tony thanks JD gibbs, and often mentions Joe.
All the roush boys mention Jack. Mark Martin does'nt mention Georgetta roush, because she's just a name on a paper.
Don't kid yourself Arch, all Jeffy puts into that team is money, if that... Rick Hendrick "owns" those shock specialists, engineers, and engine builders. I guarantee they're not on Gordons payroll.
Also, when Knaus got caught cheating, I did'nt see Jeff defending him. And when Chads contract was up for renewal, the talk was if Rick Hendrick was going to keep him around, not Jeffy. Jimmy's contract was renewed for another 6 years with "HENDRICKS" as well.
Look, I appreciate that you are loyal to your driver, and that you wish to keep him up on a pedestal.
Thats cool, lets give it a rest.
Where are all the salmon? I got a buddy out there today that said Oswego was still void.....

I know J, just pushin your buttons, everyone else was doing it, I wanted in on the action. IMO racin for something other than the win is what put Big E in the position to get killed. :-\

they mention them because their companies are after their names ???
jeff owns the car, its all hendrick under the hood, plus its all hendrick for the team

jeff owns the car not the driver or crew, its kinda like a president of a company having to answer to a board, hendrick motor sports is the board

does dale jr. thank teresa? lol, does anyone thank her

ps, jd doesnt own the 18 or 20 ;) he has the 11

OK ::) I suppose he leases his hendrick horsepower from Rick as well........
Look, Gordon is nothing more than a figurehead. He could'nt fire Jimmy, or Chad even if he wanted to.
If he wanted to dissolve the team, Rick would buy him out, and just for spite, make Jeff use Vickers old cars..... since he's going to Toyota anyways.

no, its still under hendrick motor sports, kinda like scott riggs, his owner is james rocco, but they are under evernham racing, ray doesnt own the car, but its still in his stable

who are you a fan of, either a disgruntled rusty fan and cant figure a nerw driver, or a SR fan that is anti gordon because he is going to break his win record?

I guess you could call me a penske fan, because I pull for Sam Hornish.
Jeff's got 3 more titles to get to break Sr's record.
Jeffy will just be another Daryl Waltrip with a few titles, and 80-90 wins. Wins don't mean sh*t. Look how many Mark Martin has. I still can't figure out why Mark runs the IROC series representing Nextel. He's never won a championship there.
Like I said in my above post, Jeff is just a figurehead, as far as ownership goes.
He does'nt call the shots.

i agree he doesnt call the shots, as long as he is a driver he never will

as long as he is constantly in the top ten you cant call him a figure head, hes right there

a figure head is kyle petty or dale jr. just following daddy's success but not winning anything themselves

mark martin only has 35 nextel wins in 24 years ???

stewart is 9 away in just 7 years

gordon only needs 3 wins a year for 8 years to finish with 100  thats if he only races 8 more years

i dont think jeff will get there :'( i think he probably finish with 6, 5 realisticaly, but hopefully 6, if it wassnt for the chase he would already have 5, but thats just me being a whiney gordon fan bringing that up :'( plus, i dont like busch

If the chase always existed Sr would only have 3 . Oops, Actually Jeff needs 4 to break, 3 to tie.
But you gotta think about it. How much padding did these drivers do over the years when they knew they only had to play it safe?
If it were chase circumstances, you can bet a guy like Earnhardt woulda been bumping more, those final 10 races.
He raced like he had to to win those championships, and i'm sure he woulda raced like he had to if they were chase settings as well.
Jeff will have more success, but I don't think you'll see anyone with double-digit wins anymore.

oh, i dont know, im sure somewhere down the line someone will do it ??? all the top drivers now are in their 30's, the next generation is teens-21, and doing real good, by the time they are mid-upper 20's the top guys will be pushing 40 if not over 40, and these young boys like kahne and hamlin will be pretty darn close to 10 if not more a year ??? i think itll probably be a once a decade thing but id bet itll happen
