I didn't do too bad. I went back in the evening and took home 17 fish, mostly small perch 8 in average, but also a nice gill and 3 crappies 10-12.5 inches.  the biggest was a pound so that was good.  I haven't gotten too many nice crappies in my life so it was my biggest ever. It was good meeting u to Rob.

Shocking fish is so much fun hehe wish it was my job  went to college for fisheries and aquaculture did alot of shocking  i miss it now :)   the one we used in school had a motorcycle battery  for the electricity and theres controls on the back that reg. the current n stuff because to much electricity will mess the fish up make their muscle spasum  and they'll get dark spots on their body and may have a hard time swimming after that    ok ill shut up now

Oak I thought that was Conesus (S End, inlet) or maybe Honeoye for the Walleye.

Thats a very accurate description of the S. End of Conesus.

I know they did Silver 4 or 5 years ago. Don't know if they've done it more recently. Was coming off Honeoye two years ago when they were just starting out. Anyone know if they publish their data?

I know Honeoye did the gill netting in the Fall. They set them out for two nights. One night was a general servey and the other was to test for mecury. They used one of the smaller nets, I think the first night they had around 100 walleye. The second night was a bit more from the reports I heard. Conesus should be starting to see some of the huge walleyes in the creek at the South end. Soon if not already. Worth the trip if you have never witnessed it before.

SUNY Brockport used to occasionally do Sandy Creek with a boat shocker, and also with a backpack along the cartop launch at Hamlin Beach.  I participated as a student about 9 years ago this fall.  We rolled some pretty decent kings between the jetties on Sandy.

I also used a backpack unit up north when I went to Paul Smiths College.  It will amaze you the trout that will roll up in just a few inches of riffle water!
