Well the Sabres are starting the arbitration process today with Danny Briere. They have 10 players (I believe) going to arbitration that make up the core of the team and it starts with Briere. Fiscal responsibility is one thing but if it leads you to gut the team every couple years it's not worth it! The worst part about it is that most of these players are going to probably take the one year arbitration award, then be unrestricted free agents afterwards and leave the team. Especially since good old Darcy says he won't negotiate contracts during the season. We're screwed!
