Bower lake
« on: Apr 21, 2004, 09:24 PM »
I have never fished this lake but I understand through some fellow anglers at work that it is very hot right now. Guy's are fishing off shore and one angler launched his boat last saturday. Is this lake trolling motors only???

Well Big Walleye, according to the 2004 fishing guide its not restricted. So I guess you can use gas motors! Loud though! ;D ;D ;D
teach a man to fish and he'll play with his fly all day!

Bower Lake is just off of Hwy #10 in Turtle Mountain Provincial Park, south of Boissevain, almost at the US border (Intl Peace Gardens).

i tried bower lake april 29 in the evening.  there was a nasty wind out of the west making it tough to cast.  tried small spinners - panther martins, mepps, small williams wabbler and had no success.  i tried to get worms at the tackle store in deloraine and boissevaine but no luck.  wanted to try lindy rigging or a slip bobber.  has anyone else been to bower since ice out?  if so, what was your experience.
